Event background:

Over two days the Festival of Education brings together the very best of education’s most forward-thinking advocates, practitioners of change, policy makers and teachers at one of the leading forums for thought leadership, CPD and debate.

With over 4,000 education professionals attending, the annual event convenes over 200 leading speakers creating a stimulating and inspiring educational showcase.

EC Events Expertise:

EC Events provided a wide range of event management expertise for the Festival of Education, working alongside long term client Summerhouse Media.We were delighted to be a key part of this inspiring festival for 3 years.

Keynote speakers:

The Festival of Education prides itself on delivering thought-provoking sessions from some of education’s leading thinkers, so an integral part of EC Events role was to manage the 200+ speakers, from the invitation process to being the onsite speaker manager.

Communication is key:

With over 200 speakers to manage, our experience and expert organisational skills were brought to the fore to ensure each and every speaker was kept up to date and had everything they needed both in the lead up to the event and onsite during the event.

Each and every speaker is featured on the festival’s website, creating an opportunity to feature their biography and an overview of their session to allow attendees to plan their time. EC Events worked with Summerhouse Media to source and collate the website content for all speakers.

Onsite logistics:

A smooth-running onsite registration process is key to any event and starts during effective communication before the event, to ensure attendees have all the information they need from knowing where to go, what time to arrive and where they can leave their luggage. Having managed onsite registration for a variety of events, EC Events are well versed in the meticulous planning needed.

Dining in style:

Held at Wellington College, the Speaker VIP Dinner was a real highlight of the festival, allowing speakers to mingle, relax and enjoy a delicious evening. EC Events managed key elements of the evening, including design and send of invitations, management of RSVPs, table plan and menu selelction.

VIP Management:

As well as the 200+ speakers, the Festival of Education invites a host of celebrity VIP speakers to add their personal stories, thoughts and insights. EC Events worked in partnership with Summerhouse Media to source and manage a range of celebrities from the worlds of sport, music, politic, tv and journalism. Including Tiny Tempah, Michael Gove MP, Will Young and Sir Steve Redgrave.
